You do not have to complete the chart. Please complete by Monday/Tuesday of next week.  This assignments will not be recycled, as they are FCAT readiness assignments before we take the FCAT April 30 and May 1.  Do Well!!!

We are going to practice the DEAR testing strategy.

D = deconstruct the text

E = evaluate the question

A= analyze top two choices

R = Recheck your answers

 

1.       Write a paragraph explaining how you deconstruct informational text,  poetry, and fiction

 (one paragraph to explain all three)

2.       Write a paragraph explaining how you evaluate the question

3.       Write a paragraph explaining how you analyze the top two choices

4.       Write a sentence explaining why it is important to recheck your answers.

 

Total points:  80

A Paragraph = at least 5 sentences.

A sentences has at least 7 words

 

Due Wednesday/Thursday

April 16/17 HW , There will be HW this 3-day weekend.

Grade 8 Reading FCAT begins April 30th and ends May 1st. Students will take the assessment online. To ensure we continue making progress until assessment day, in-class and homework assignments must be completed. No late work is accepted. The next set of homework is online. Please ensure that your child can go to the library to complete if they do not have Internet access at home.
